Still need help? Contact Customer Service

I have sent several emails to EC to let you know my order never arrived and nobody ever wrote me back.

Check your SPAM preferences. A lot of email filter programs will throw out email from domains they don't recognize unless you tell them not to. Chances are we wrote you back, but the SPAM block kept you from receiving it. Contact us at service@ellorascave.com first. Try writing us at ellorascave2000@ yahoo.com ONLY if you suspect emails are not getting through to you.

When I first started shopping at Ellora's Cave I purchase my e-books in one format, but now I have a handheld computer and need them in another format. Will you send me the new format?

Due to the large number of requests we receive per day, and the amount of time it takes to research and verify each customer's purchasing history, Ellora's Cave DOES NOT replace e-book formats. In the past we tried to accommodate customers where we could, but our customer base has grown so dramatically that it's no longer possible. Think of e-book formats the way that you think of print formats: if you purchased a book in paperback and then wanted the hardback edition you wouldn't expect the publisher to exchange it for you :-)

I sent a question to Customer Service a long time ago and still haven't received a reply. I don't have a SPAM-guard on my email account so what is the hold up?

Customer Service replies can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending upon how backlogged we are. It is common to have to wait up to 24 hours for a reply from Customer Service. We always try to respond the same day to inquiries but such is not always possible. Alas, we are but so many so thank you for your patience! If more than three days has gone by, it is possible we have replied but you did not receive the email for whatever reason (or we did not receive your email). Try writing us at ellorascave2000@ yahoo.com ONLY if you suspect your mail is not getting through.

I'm new to e-books and don't know what type of e-book I should order. The sales pages read like hieroglyphics to me. Help!

When are you putting your titles into print?

Click here to see what is currently available. Please note that the majority of our catalog will remain electronic as we feel this is where the future of reading lies. Check online or at your local electronics dealer for the latest in e-reading equipment if you would like to get a complete price list. We also recommend www.abtelectronics.com for competitive pricing.

I own a Gemstar e-bookman (REB 1150 or 1200) and am upset by the fact that I cannot read your titles on it. When will EC titles become available for these models?

This is something we have no control over as you can only read e-books for the REB 1150 or 1200 that are carried in their online store or that Powells carries. We have tried repeatedly to get our titles into the Gemstar store, but our inquiries have never been answered. EC titles can, however, be read on the REB 1100 by downloading the Rocket Librarian and beaming Rocketbook formatted titles into your reader from it.

Does the name Ellora's Cave mean what I think it means?

Probably not, but given what we publish, it makes for a catchy double entendre ;-) Ellora's Cave was actually named after the Ellora Caves of India, an ancient network of caverns containing hieroglyphic writings archeologists still have not deciphered the meaning of.
